Rod Thompson is the Broker and Founder of Method Realty, formerly SellerInvite.

In 2008, SellerInvite was the first real estate company in North America to give sellers the freedom to sell by owner on the local MLS System®. Sellers weregiven the freedom to choose between selling on their own or working with a REALTOR® in the traditional fashion.

Rod was also the first to allows buyers who were not represented by a REALTOR® and acting on their own to connect directly with the seller. This not only gave buyers more freedom, but it also gave sellers the opportunity to save even more on commissions as there was no REALTOR® representing the buyer and no additional commissions.

Rod also introduced the Honest Home Evaluation. The idea was that whether you were selling by owner or working with one of our REALTORS®, we would take the time to help sellers understand what their homes true market value is, and what would be required to sell in any given market. The idea of empowering sellers, no matter how they choose to sell, is both innovative and simple.

Since launching his real estate career in 2003, Rod has personally sold almost 2,000 homes, putting him easily in the top 1% of all Edmonton REAKLTORS®.
